3 podcasts for entrepreneurs and creatives
I love discovering new podcasts so here are a few podcasts for June. When podcasts first became a thing I tried to listen to them and failed. I can’t even remember what types of podcasts I downloaded but I was not interested at all. I deleted all of them and moved on. Last fall I wanted to do more research on certain aspects of blogging and business and was looking for audio so I could listen while I cleaned, cooked dinner, did laundry or drove. Books don’t work for multitasking so blogging it was!
Discover Blogging with Podcasts
I re-discovered blogging and maybe because I had specific topics I was looking for, I fell in love. I currently have 43 different podcasts on my phone (some of them aren’t active anymore- I just went back and listened to back episodes). A lot of you spend a lot of time in the car or on trains commuting so it’s the perfect time to sit back and listen! Each month I’ll give you a few new podcasts to check out along with the description the podcast provides.
- How I Built This – How I Built this is an NPR podcast. How I Built This is a podcast about innovators, entrepreneurs, and idealists, and the stories behind the movements they built. Each episode is a narrative journey marked by triumphs, failures, serendipity, and insight — told by the founders of some of the world’s best-known companies and brands. If you’ve ever built something from nothing, something you really care about — or even just dream about it — check out How I Built This hosted by Guy Raz @guyraz
- Side Hustle School – I love this podcast because each episode is only a few minutes. Side Hustle School is a daily show for everyone who works a regular job and wants to start an income-earning project on the side. In each episode, listeners will hear a different story of someone who’s started a side hustle—along with what went well, how that person overcame challenges, and what happened as a result. The show is written and hosted by Chris Guillebeau, the New York Times bestselling author of The $100 Startup, The Happiness of Pursuit, and other books.
- Make it Happen – Make It Happen is a podcast for big-hearted creatives who are ready to build an impactful, fulfilling, and sustainable creative life. Brought to you by Jen Carrington, a creative coach, this podcast is for you if you’re ready to make things happen in your creative work and life on your own terms, in your own way, and by your own rules every step of the way.
Check them out and let me know what you think!
